Our second FTC season. We built a more traditional tank style drive base, with our first linear lift. Because of how it looked when lifting the yoga ball in end game, this robot ended up being named Llamabot. The team was a finalist at the league qualifier in Batavia, finished first in our division and 6thout of 36 in our league.

A highlight of our season was being invited by Illinois FIRST to the Washington Awards, where we met Chuck Hull – the inventor of stereo lithography, which was one of the first 3D printing processes. Later that year we raised enough money to purchase our 3D printer, which we have used heavily since then.
